Grandma’s white sauce with thyme sprigs

You'll need: 
  • 100ml water;
  • 500g single cream;
  • 150g oil;
  • 2 onions;
  • 1 tsp flour;
  • A bunch of freshly picked thyme springs;
  • Salt and pepper.
  • Fry chopped garlic in oil. Mix the flour in water and then pour into the pan. 

  • Heat over low heat. Pour in the cream, stirring intensively. Add the thyme sprigs and season with salt and pepper.

  • This is a superb sauce that we all recollect from the times grandma used to make it. And them mom took it over from grandma. It goes perfectly with Biovela Mom’s fried meatballs.
