  • In 2018, international audit company SGS United Kingdom Ltd awarded Utenos mėsa, UAB the top A level Global Satndart for Food Safety" (BRC) certificate. It is granted exclusively to undertakings which use ultimately safe and quality methods of production. 

  • We have a food safety and management system in place based on the principles of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). Utenos mėsa is certified according to IFS (International Food Standard, Version 5). We also take pride in the BRC Global Standard-Food certificate of UK retailers.

  • Utenos mesa employs an efficient self-control system, whose important component is a certified production lab performing bacteriological, microbiological and physical / chemical tests. The lab carries out regular microbiological and chemical tests on raw materials and on intermediate and final products and checks on the hygiene and sanitary condition. This is a way to ensure that consumers receive food which is of stable quality and safe.

  • Microbiological and bacteriological analysis is carried out using universally accepted reference methods, whereas the chemical composition of raw materials and products, i.e. protein, fat, salt and moisture content, is analysed through the express method with the contemporary food analyser Food Scan, which allows assessing in seconds whether the raw materials and products conform to the defined quality requirements.

  • For a number of years the audit company BUREAU VERITAS Certification has given its top assessment to our food safety management system. The trust of McDonalds restaurant chain is another testimony of our impeccable product quality. Every year the international certification company SAI GLOBAL Efsis carries out an independent audit according to the standard for McDonalds suppliers and issues assessment certificates.
